Free trial and unlock

ARRF is free to download. A free trial lets you use every feature for 14 days or 3 surveys, whichever comes first; after that a one-time unlock keeps ARRF working for good. There is no subscription. The demo, and everything you have already saved, stay free in every state.

Only new work is gated:

The paywall says it directly: “Your saved surveys, Results, floor plans, reports and exports always stay available — even if the trial ends. The demo survey is always free.”

The trial ends at whichever limit you reach first:

  • 14 days, counted from when you tap Start free trial.
  • 3 surveys. A survey counts only when it is a real (non-demo) survey that saves at least three readings. Demo walks never count, and neither does a quick Start/Stop with fewer than three cubes.

The survey counter is kept in the iOS Keychain, so deleting and reinstalling the app doesn’t reset it.

Tap Start Survey on a real source, tap the Toolbox’s lock button (its tools stay greyed out until then), or tap Unlock ARRF at the top of Settings. Before the trial starts the paywall is headed “Try every feature free”:

  1. Tap Start free trial — “14 days or 3 surveys, whichever comes first. No charge, no subscription.”
  2. The paywall closes. Tap Start Survey again.

While the trial runs, the lobby and Settings show a status line such as “Trial: 12 days · 2 surveys left”; tapping it in the lobby opens the paywall. Before the trial starts it reads “Free trial: 14 days or 3 surveys”, and the Toolbox shows Start the free trial to use Toolbox.

The status line changes to “Trial ended (14 days)” or “Trial ended (3 surveys used)”, the Toolbox shows Unlock ARRF to use Toolbox, and starting a real survey opens the paywall, headed “Keep surveying with ARRF”. Tap Unlock ARRF to buy the one-time unlock (“One-time purchase. No subscription.”). The button shows the price from the App Store for your region.

Tap Restore purchases, either on the paywall or in the Unlock ARRF row at the top of Settings (shown until ARRF is unlocked). The unlock is “One purchase per Apple ID, restorable on your other iPhones. Family Sharing isn’t included.” If nothing is found, ARRF reports “No previous purchases found for this Apple ID.”

Once unlocked, the Settings row reads ARRF Unlocked and the status line Unlocked.
