Campaigns and membership plans
Campaigns and plan tiers are the two features that turn StrandCalls from a cost line into something that generates work. Both live under Settings → Plans & Campaigns, with campaign runs visible in Campaigns.
Outbound campaigns
Section titled “Outbound campaigns”A campaign is a targeted SMS to a slice of your existing customers. Typical uses:
- Maintenance renewals — everyone due for a seasonal service.
- Reactivation — customers you haven’t served since a given date.
- Storm recovery — a fast, local, “we’re taking calls” push after weather.
Setting one up
Section titled “Setting one up”| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Name | For your own reference |
| Audience | Who receives it — filtered by things like last-served date and plan tier |
| Channel | How it’s sent |
| Message | The text itself |
| Max sends per day | Per-campaign throttle |
| Daily send cap (all campaigns) | Account-wide ceiling across every campaign |
The account-wide cap is a safety net, not a formality. Set it to a number you’d be comfortable seeing sent on a day you weren’t watching.
Compliance
Section titled “Compliance”Outbound marketing texts are regulated (TCPA in the US). StrandCalls enforces opt-out handling and send-time constraints, and campaigns require approved A2P registration before they’ll send.
Two habits keep you safe: campaign only to customers who have actually done business with you, and keep the message recognizably from your business.
Send caps
Section titled “Send caps”Campaign SMS is the one place volume matters — answering, confirmations, and reminders are unmetered forever, but a campaign is marketing you chose to send. Two caps keep it bounded, both of which you control in Settings → Plans & Campaigns:
- Max sends per day — a per-campaign throttle (default 25 a day).
- Daily send cap (all campaigns) — an account-wide ceiling across every campaign at once (default 50 a day).
Sends also respect quiet hours — campaigns only go out between roughly 9am and 7pm in your local time — and stop immediately for anyone who replies STOP.
Membership plan tiers
Section titled “Membership plan tiers”Plan tiers let you sell an ongoing relationship — a maintenance plan, a priority-service membership — and have the AI act on it.
When a plan member calls, the AI recognizes their tier and can slot them accordingly, so “priority service” means something on the phone instead of only on the invoice.
Assign a plan tier on the customer, and set the tiers themselves under Plans & Campaigns.
Recurring series
Section titled “Recurring series”Distinct from plan tiers: a recurring series is a standing appointment rotation for route trades. Plans are about status; recurring series are about schedule. Route businesses usually want both.
Availability by plan
Section titled “Availability by plan”Campaigns, membership tiers, and recurring series require the Growth plan — each one checks for it before it will run. Everything else in StrandCalls works on the flat plan. See Plans and billing.
