Workflow prompts

Probe MCP serves a small set of MCP prompts — guided workflows that appear in Claude’s + menu on surfaces that support them. Each fills in the right code_mode calls for you; you just supply a few arguments.

assessment_scorecard — Network Assessment Scorecard (PDF)

Section titled “assessment_scorecard — Network Assessment Scorecard (PDF)”

Scans a probe’s syslog, SNMP, and sFlow, ranks findings red / yellow / green, and renders a co-branded PDF you can hand to a customer. This is the flagship deliverable — the demo, the assessment artifact, and the install-acceptance report in one.

All arguments are optional:

ArgumentPurpose
probeWhich probe to assess (defaults to your probe if you have one).
windowTime window to assess over.
companyYour company name, for co-branding.
prepared_forThe customer / recipient name on the report.
emailWhere to send or associate the report.

The report renders server-side and comes back as a shareable URL.

explore_probe — Explore what my probe can see

Section titled “explore_probe — Explore what my probe can see”

A read-only orientation: Claude tours what the probe is collecting — syslog volume, discovered devices, SNMP health, top talkers, topology — without writing anything or generating a report. Good for a first look at a new site.

Arguments (optional):

ArgumentPurpose
probeWhich probe to explore.
goalA focus for the tour (e.g. “find noisy devices”).

MCP prompts only show on Claude surfaces that support them. If you don’t see the + menu entries, confirm the connector is authorized and that you’re on a surface that supports MCP prompts. You can always ask for the same outcomes in plain language instead.
